CIAR integrates the excellence of health care experts (medical doctors, psychologists, epidemiologists, health scientists) and social science experts (sociologists, criminologists) in research on substance and non-substance associated addiction disorders and their consequences.
Our methodological expertise encompasses a wide range of methods from clinical research, prevention, health care research and epidemiology.
Furthermore, the CIAR values international cooperation and has achieved recognition in the research community by taking on leading and cooperating positions in a variety of multinational, large-scale projects.
